The album was reissued as a deluxe edition, titled Emails I Can't Send Fwd:, on March 17, 2023, featuring four new tracks.[1][2]
Background[]
On September 9, 2021, "Skinny Dipping" was released as the lead single. The music video premiered the same day, which hinted at the album title on a Scrabble board.
On July 5, 2022, Carpenter posted the track list on her social media platforms.[3]
On March 10, 2023, Carpenter revealed that she would be releasing a deluxe edition of the album, titled Emails I Can't Send Fwd:, a week later on March 17, 2023.[1] On her Instagram story, she hinted that there would be four bonus tracks added to the original album.[2]
On March 15, 2023, Carpenter revealed the titles of the four bonus tracks on her social media, along with the pre-save link.[4][5]
To celebrate the album's first anniversary, Carpenter sent an email to her fans signed to her mailing list announcing a special anniversary vinyl that was available on her webstore, along with a temporary heart letter tattoo.[6]
"A lot of it came from the humor side of things. I would be reading it and being like, 'Oh my god, that's so terrible, how did I say that?'. Then it would turn into a song. Most of the songs that happened were me going like, 'Oh my god that's terrible I can't say that,' and then I say it, but for three minutes."
— Sabrina about the process of writing emails to herself during an interview for Teen Vogue[7]

Trivia[]
- This is Carpenter's first explicit album with nine songs being marked explicit: "Emails I Can't Send", "Vicious", "Tornado Warnings", "Because I Liked a Boy", "How Many Things", "Fast Times", "Feather", "Lonesome", and "Things I Wish You Said".
- This is Carpenter's first album to receive a deluxe edition.
- Carpenter revealed that she stylized certain songs in lowercase because "[she] wanted it to feel like a random chaotic email."[8]
- She jokingly stated that she decided the track list order by "[banging her] head against a wall repeatedly."[9]
- Interestingly, "Decode" was left out of the CD and vinyl track list on her web store, only showing 12 tracks. This was later edited.
- A limited physical copy of the deluxe edition was released in Japan on July 7, 2023, featuring all four bonus tracks.[10]
