"Tricky" is a single by Shoffy featuring Sabrina Carpenter. It was released on March 6, 2020. It was written by Sabrina Carpenter, Jake Torrey and Shoffy. The song appears as the first track on Shoffy's third studio album Flash.

Background[]
Shoffy began teasing a collaboration with Carpenter on February 28, 2020 by posting a snippet of the chorus and tagging Carpenter on Twitter.[2] Shoffy announced the single a few days later on March 2, 2020, posting the cover artwork, and revealing the song title and release date of March 6.[3] The pre-save link was posted an hour after the single announcement,[4] and again the day before the song's release.[5] Shoffy also posted a live snippet of the song, via a video of himself practicing the song on his electric guitar in preparation for his Flash Tour, which was later cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[6]
The song reached one million Spotify streams on March 16, 2020.[7]
The song was also included on iHeartRadio Maxwell House's top five weekly songs chart, occupying the first spot for the week of March 13, 2020.[8]
